This entire post is prefaced with this truth: God is good, He knows the number of our days, death is nothing to be feared when we trust God’s love and word over us, the only ones hurt by death are the ‘leftovers’ aka, us, the Devil really does exist and his whole purpose is to steal, kill and destroy but God, as Jesus, has come to give us life and life to the full, and God is still and always has been a really BIG and LOVING God and He still does miracles, every. single. day.

So, with that in mind, doctors have given our Mom  less than 2 months to live. We are not in denial, but trust God with the number of her days. That being said, time is of the essence in our little world with our one and only Betty Biebel.

Bebe & Bobby in Fiji

Bebe & Bobby, in love for over 50 years, here in Fiji/YWAM, renewing vows, 2007

We asked her what her “Bucket List” was (secretly hoping it entailed a trip around the world or something…) and she asked us to make a YouTube channel and video tape her sharing everything God has ever placed on her heart, so we’re doing it. The channel is “Bedside with Bebe” and here is a link to the first video.

There are several things God has put upon her heart to share, but if you have a topic you’d like to hear about, please leave it in the comments section.

As a family we are praying for our Mom’s miraculous healing on this Earth. And we know many of you are, as well. But here is what is even bigger than all of that…our Mom and Dad are so grateful for the prayers being prayed over them, but more so, are in awe of all those who are praying and talking to God in general. You see, what is happening when we seek God on the behalf of another person is we are in communication with God, and at that moment, it’s intimate, between the Creator of the Universe who loves us more than we can fathom, and our very own heart. He sees every part of our hearts and knows our thoughts and desires to be part of our daily lives. But how can we know that or get to know Him unless we build a relationship with Him? And relationships take time, tweaking, sharing, listening, misunderstandings, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

So whether the outcome of the prayers we pray are all we have conjured up in our limited earthbound minds or too great for us to conceive, dialogue and relationship with God are what He designed all along.

  1. I could not open the video but seeing the picture of Betty and Bob was terrific, thankful to our Lord that they have had 50 years together on this earth. And an eternity in Heaven with God. God bless you all. We love you and are praying each day for you.

    • Ginny, I hope it works for you somehow. I’m not computer savvy and Jason is in #Pariswithoutme so once he is home I’ll ask him to be my tech guy. God sure was AWESOME when He decided we all had to be heart to heart neighbors just down the street so long ago! Love you guys, always!
Thanks for all the prayers for my folks! xoxox

    • Thanks, Karen! I haven’t done FMF in a few weeks, but every Friday I wake up and wonder what Lisa Jo’s prompt is…does that count 😉

  2. I keep thinking about the woman that reached out and touched the fringe of Jesus’ garment and was immediately healed – by her faith
—-In Jesus name please take this cancer from Betty — If it is your will Father, Amen. Thank you for this precious lady and her life and her testimony of Your Kingdom! Thank you for the gift of her preaching your WORDS in these videos.
    Luke 8:43-48
    English Standard Version (ESV)
43 And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians,[a] she could not be healed by anyone. 44 She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. 45 And Jesus said, “Who was it that touched me?” When all denied it, Peter[b] said, “Master, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!” 46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.” 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”

I think you get me all too well and I’m praying for you and your momma! You know, I stopped praying for a time, but I just needed to remember my purpose. ❤️

    • Oh, friend! I know, as you do, how we want to be quite specific with God and our “requests”. I’m not sure that’s wrong, but what I do know is there’s some jacked up 80’s theology I’ve recovered from and I know God is big and good and sees something so much more than we do…and chapters 1 & 2 in Job exist for a reason (I believe God’s purpose was to expose what Satan does on a daily basis and how low he’ll go to try to deter our hearts from trusting God is love and GOOD, regardless of what our eyes see…if you get a chance, check it out in The Message Remix. AMAZING!)

  4. What a blessing to hear the words of your mom! It’s a beautiful thing to see people whose lives have been transformed want nothing more than to see others experience the same. I keep thinking of a book a read, “In a pit with a lion on a snowy day” by Mark Batterson. There’s a creed for “lion chasers” at the end that says(in part), “Stop playing it safe and start taking risks. Expand your horizons. Accumulate experiences. Enjoy the journey. Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can. Live like today is the first day and last day of your life. Don’t let what’s wrong with you keep you from worshiping what’s right with God”. This hangs at my desk as a reminder of what I want my life to be like in Christ. This morning, as I’ve prayed, it has reminded me of your mom and her bucket list. She, and all of you, are in my prayers.

    • Thanks, Holly! I love, “Don’t let what’s wrong with you keep you from worshiping what’s right with God.” THanks for this! xoxox
