Noah’s doing better now…his temp is down, his B/P is normalized, heart rate back down to normal…he had spiked a temp and aspirated some stomach fluid (his feeds are into his jejunum) and was breathing very heavily. A new big dog antibiotic has been introduced (UGH!). He’s going to have another blood transfusion today, my sister Ashley’s blood, because his hematocrit was down again. He’s resting now and is peaceful. Thank you for your prayers. God really sustained Noah this morning! He was in rough shape! Em’s here. She dropped her auntie off at the airport and asked me if she could go see her “honey” at the hospital. She also informed me that she wants to share a bedroom with Noah when he’s older. Cute, huh?!

  1. Your blog was forwarded to me by a friend. I have been praying for you for the last few days and, last night at church, I stood in the gap for Noah and our church prayed over him. I have so much I want to share with you and I am hoping I can be a source of comfort for you. My daughter was born with some unique problems (not quite as unique as Noah, tho!). You can read a short version of her story here: http://members.cox.net/kahri/kaedy.html

I would have emailed you directly, but I can’t get your email off of your blog. Please email me, when you have a spare moment. I would love to talk with you! kahri@cox.net

  2. Wow, I am so humbled! Here I am in Northern VT struggling with my step daughter and how hurtful she has become with lies…. we have been through so much with her for very different reasons over the years, saved her from abuse by way of her mother’s boyfriend, supported her and loved her… And now she is 18 and doing the 18 yr old thing… which hurts, but here I was feeling sorry for myself when God put you into my heart. I happened upon an urgent request for prayer for “Baby Noah”….Then I found this web site. Your faith so humbles me. Your Christ like love is so incredible. You have my prayers for Noah and your whole family and I will do this daily…. remember in the midst of this God is good all the time……all the time _____________ I just read a book about the hymn “It is well with my soul” it is called “finding Anna” if you have some time I think you may find it healing. Please no that I am a night nurse in an adult ICU so if in the middle of the night you are in need I will check this blog when I am at work (time permitting)….anyway, another hymn that I have found myself singing in my head when the world seems to be crashing all around me is the hymn of St. Patrick. An Episcopal Priest friend of mine told me the anem of it I only just knew it from church, anyway teh words are so powerful. it goes like this:
    Christ be with me
    Christ within me
    Christ behind me
    Christ before me
    Christ beside me
    Christ to win me
Christ to comfort and restore me

    Christ beneath me
    Christ above me
    Christ in quiet
    Christ in danger
Christ in hearts of those that love me
Christ in mouths of friends and strangers
May our Lord Jesus be with you and hold you in these times of need. kay

  3. You know, I’ve been thinking that perhaps we should all pray for Noah at the exactly the same time. Pick a time that’s convenient for the family and post it then everyone else can convert their time to that (10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the hospital, 12:00 noon on the east coast, etc.). Everyone virtually hold hands and send an enormous prayer for healing up to God.
    The Bible tells us:
“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 and
“…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move.” Matthew 17:21.

  4. A,

    David
