A request…
As you have all prayed for us for the last 9 weeks we have been so encouraged and strengthened. Would you all (everyone who has ever read Noah’s blog…) please do me a favor and send me one prayer concern that is on your heart? Our family wants to return the encouragement and lift you all up in prayer. Before this all happened, God had us praying for many of our friends’ marriages. The devil thinks that this will keep us from praying for others, but it won’t, SO PLEASE, PLEASE, SEND US SPECIFIC OR ANONYMOUS PRAYER REQUESTS!

*I’ll send out an update tomorrow regarding our mighty little man. Lots of developments…

  1. Thanks for the offer to pray. Please pray for my brother who was diagnosed in June with an incurrable brain tumor (level IV astrocytoma.) He is almost done with chemo and radiation and will have another MRI in late Nov to see what’s what in his noggin. His attitude is great (he is saved) but he knows his diagnosis (5 to 20 months.) God can perform miracles and I want him to perform one for my brother. Please pray that The Great Physician, the Great Healer and Comforter, will take care of my brother and his family. Thanks.

  2. Oh how you bless me!!
My name is Sue from Aberdeen SD and I’m a friend of Kaija’s and I’m so thankful that I’m still on the prayer list @ Foursquare because this has been my homepage for months. I have to tell you that this situation has brought me closer to Abba Father and I am excited and I am anticipating the wonderful things that God has prepared for you.
    So here is my request….
That my 3 adult children who seem afar off from the things of God would come back and that they will walk in the fullness of God.
And then there is a 19 year old man named Andy who was injured in a construction accident and is now classified as a quadrapalegic. Please agree with us for total restoration. He is in a rehab center in Colorado.
    God Bless!!!!

  3. Thanks for asking for prayer requests from those of us who read your blogspot. That really spoke to me of your faith in the God we serve!
My husband and I are missionaries in Bulgaria. Something you can pray with us about is people hearts to be open to the Word of God. We believe this nation is turning from it’s ways and revival has come!
Blessings and Noah and you guys have the victory!

  4. Thank you. No one has asked if I’ve needed prayer for something in a long time!

My husband and I have been through the ringer with church politics, philosophical differences and leadership mumbo jumbo– yada yada yada. It’s quite pathetic when we look back on it, but our six kids have been dragged through it as well. I would ask for prayer for my 2 teenage boys who need a true spiritual awakening. I so desire for God to become real to them right where they are. The negative influences all around are strong and alluring (and exasperating for the parent). Spirituality isn’t so high on their list of priorities. And my husband and I could still use prayer regarding the many disappointments; to truly get beyond it and remain faithful and devoted to our maker.

    Blessings to you all.

  5. I have a friend who is pregnant with twins. She just gave birth to Twin A, a girl, at 20 weeks. She is now an angel. They are praying that Twin B will stay in utero until viability. Please pray for their grieving hearts and for Twin B.

  6. I just checked the blog to see how things were progressing for the little man and there you are, asking to pray for others. It instantly brought tears to my eyes (hard one to explain while at work) I’m not surprised though, your faith and self giving is remarkable. With all that you have on your plate I don’t think it’s fair to ask that you pray for me, but I know thats not the point so here goes. Please pray that I can find my path to make myself a better mother, wife and co-worker. I haven’t been the best that I could be on all fronts, and am not sure how to. I know you should take one day at a time “baby steps” and appreciate everything and everyone around you, but I don’t always do that. You sharing Noah’s story shows everyone that we can’t take things for granted and that we should revel and be glad for the little things and strike back and triumph over the bad. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

  7. Please pray for my husbands job interview on Thursday (my birthday) Pray that the Lord would bless us with enough cash to put Leah into full time pre-school at VanDellen. Pray that Leah and I will stop going head to head, and that Leah would calm her strong will.
Bless you and your family – Noah has done much in his life for others.

  8. A & J –

Here’s yet another example of the awesomeness in you guys…

Besides joining you in the prayer of protection from all of the evil that is consuming our world, I would specifically appreciate prayer for God to lead my husband and me to a church. We’ve been married for 15 months but have not found the time or desire to search for a church together and I think that we need this. I personally have grown tired of the fluff and wordliness (politics, etc) of churches over the years and have pulled out. But, from a standpoint of fellowship, accountability, etc., I think it’d be good for us to go. So, that’s my request from T-town.

Anxious to hear more on Noah…

  9. Jason & Adrienne,

Thanks so much for sharing, and for allowing so many to blessed by your faithfulness. Noah has already had a more purposeful life than most of us. We are blessed by you and by Noah.

I’m taking a few dozen HS kids on an overnight camping trip this weekend, please pray that God is in all the details, and that the kids’s hearts are open to God’s love and to knowing him more fully.

    In HIS love.

  10. Jason and Adrienne,
You never cease to amaze me with your faithfulness! We at Foursquare Church in Watertown have begun discipleship classes. There are two I would like you to cover in prayer. The First would be the class for “Parents with Teenagers”~ that we would receive the wisdom needed to direct that generation with the same passion for the Lord that you have demonstrated. The class for teenagers would be the second, that God will stir in every one of their hearts. That He will rise up strong, faithful leaders with the heart of David. We continue to hold you all in prayer. Blessings to all of you!

  11. I’ve been praying for Noah and will continue to do so. Such a sweet little one!

My prayer request is for a friend who recently discovered a lump and is very concerned (she has a family history of cancer).

    Thanks.

  12. Your ability to see past your own difficulties at this time and your desire to pray for others is a true testimony of your total love and faith in God.
I would ask that you pray that God shows me what my Earthly purpose is and that I will be used for His glory!
    Thanks!

  13. What an awesome thing to be praying for other’s needs while you are going through such a challenge in your own lives. It brings me to tears and wants me to strive for that kind of compassion and courage. You truly are an inspiration!
I would love it if you would stand with us in believing for a complete healing in my son Hunter’s body. At 5 years old he has been stuggling with the challenges of diabetes for 4 years now. Please pray that his pancreas would start producing insulin on its own.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
    God Bless,
    Teresa

  14. I have been reading your blog everyday and look forward to the updates. Noah is so incredibly precious and we pray for your family often.

I would really appreciate some prayer (what a blessing it is for you to offer). My husband and I are relocating to the Sacramento area from the Bay Area and I have been unable to find work. I am a bit stressed since we are a “two income required” family at this point (also need some prayer that my husband’s company will explode with new business so that we may be able to get more involved with ‘sending’ people on missions). In addition to this, we would like to start taking people overseas for mission trips and would like some doors opened for us when we get to the Sac area.

  15. Ade,
You guys amaze me as always. There are always many “big” things to ask for prayer for but immediately, i just need relief from the flu. I have to perform in a play this weekend and having no voice and a fever is not the ideal situation.

Praying for you guys as well.
    Chris K.

  16. OH my how sweet of you, i need a couple of prayers.

  17. Mine’s kind of silly, after reading everyone else’s….but oh well! I am dating for the first time since I became a Christian (5 years). He is a wonderful Christian man, but I feel kind of lost! I’m not quite sure how to go about this whole dating thing, and it’s frankly kind of scary. SO pray that the Lord would lead us, would calm my heart and my fears, and would bring us eventually to a decision about whether to marry or not (you know…eventually), and that above all we would gaurd our hearts and grow closer to HIM. 🙂 Thank you!!

  18. You never cease to amaze me. What a true lesson we have learned from you both. Mine is silly but – I have to go to St. Louis to take a 3 hour test tomorrow for my job. I need supernatural wisdom and for the knowledge to come to my rememberance.
    Thank you so very much!

    Angie

  19. I know you are overwhelmed by this, as I am. This is incredible. So many cries out to God and so many of us now with the knowledge of how to pray for our brothers and sisters. AMAZING!!

My prayer is that I will daily trust in God and not in myself and yet remember 2 Timothy 2:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.”

    Love you.

  20. hey guys, thanks. Please add Janice from my dad’s office to your list…do you remember her? She recently quit due to cancer and has a meager doctor’s report. She is undergoing chemo for a second round, but desperately needs HOPE.

  21. Absolutely so kind!
Please pray for me as I figure out where I should work, it has been a lingering decision for awhile now and I have sensed no clear answer yet. I wanna do something I know is completley in God’s will for me.
You could also pray for an adventurous, funny, thoughtful, creative, humble, spontaneous, awesome man of God to come into my life, sweep me off my feet and …
it is a big desire of mine to someday be married!
    Thanks.

  22. Adrienne & Jason, (boy you have a husband with a wonderful name – if I do say so myself as I too married a “Jason!”)

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to serve through prayer for your family…it is a gift to be a part of what God does in the lives of others around us through prayer – isn’t it? So now I will return the gift of asking you to pray for me as I know the Lord will draw near to you as you pray for others.

Long story short… I’m struggling with some health issues and some confusion surrounding them. I want the Lord’s will in my life and some clarity so I know how to best move forward. Boy do you know about that. 🙂

    Love and Prayers,
    Heidi Jo

  23. Hey guys, you are awesome. My daughter never misses praying for Noah before bed. My father-in-law has recently been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma(spelling?), and it is in his bones. He needs a total miracle.
I don’t think you will ever know how many lives you are touching through Noah. We are still believing in complete and total healing. We love you!!

  24. Thank you for the opportunity for prayer requests from us for you to pray for. It will be an honor for you and Jason to be praying for us. My prayer is for our daughter Shelby who is 15. The enemy has a hold on her life and we are praying for God to lift her out of this and for her to turn to Him completely. We are also praying for some of the friends she hangs with OUT of her life and new friends to come forth. Thank you also for praying for the new classes at the Watertown Foursquare Church with the parents and teens. God will bless your family for your faithfulness through Noahs health battle.

  26. thank you so much for your offer of prayer. please lift my 87 year old mother to the Lord. she lost her left eye, due to a fall, in March of this year. on Friday, the 29th of September, she awoke blind in her right eye. she has an eye infection of unknown origin and faces the possibility of losing her sight altogether. while I believe that she can handle being blind, I ask for a miracle and that her sight be restored. if that isn’t God’s will, I ask for acceptance, strength and peace.
also, my 21 year old daughter. she just ended a 2 year relationship with a non-believer and while she knows that it “had to happen”, she still hurts. I pray that she finds her worth in the Lord and the Lord alone.
I continue to lift Noah and your family in prayer. You are truly an inspiration!

  27. We’ve been following along with little Noah’s progress and are so encouraged to see how you have used your influence with this blog and to be entrusted with praying and interceding on Noah’s behalf.

Thank you so much for your offer to pray for all of us. We are in a big transition time right now. Through God’s amazing provision, we recently adopted and have been given the opportunity to move back to CO. Right now, finances are tight as we have moved to one income and we need to sell our house. Please pray that our house will sell in a timely manner and that God will give us wisdom to be good stewards with the resources He has given us.

Thank you so much for being “outward” focused when you have so much going on in your own lives!

  28. Thank you so much for sharing your story and faithfulness. My students pray everyday for Noah and his family. They have been off this week for the Korean Holiday, Chusok. I know when they start back to school (in a new school at a different location)it will be Noah and not the new location that is on their hearts.

So for us, you could pray for this new school. We not only moved the WHOLE school this week, but also almost all of the staff. It has already been a long week and very tiresome, but God has some big plans here in Seoul. However, the school is still not ready. We will need a miracle (an 11 hour one) if we are to start back up on Monday.
