A blessing from God
We just got home today and Adrienne will post more later ~ Jason

(Adrienne here…just got a text from my friend…if you happened to check in a little earlier, we are obviously tired. No, we did not name our son “Noah Everett” as Jason had posted. His name is “Ryan Everett” and he totally stinking ROCKS! I’m excited to share the journey, but as I said earlier, I’m busy staring at our new guy, working on the kink in my neck, and loving every minute of it…I will post later, but just wanted to confirm that we are tired, not crazy, and did not name our son after his big brother…we named him after a different hero…)

  1. i LOVE the yawn…at least i think it’s a yawn and not a hollar.

  2. You won’t believe this, but I stumbled upon your blog about two weeks ago. Since that day, I have read every entry, from the first day until today and I just finished! It was a blessing for so many reasons. I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS!! He’s beautiful and perfect and precious and he’s God’s little man. Praying you are recuperating well, Adrienne, and praying for God’s manifold blessings on Noah Everett, Emily and you, Adrienne and Jason!!!

  3. CONGRATULATIONS! Ryan is absolutely gorgeous! I am so happy for you all. Love that you honored your friend with naming your new blessing after him.

  4. Also, once you get some sleep, I’m going to need a favor: Please kiss that soft fuzzy baby hair for me. I miss the soft fuzzy newborn fluffy bunny hair. And it looks like Ryan has just the perfect amount of fluff. *Swoon!*

  5. Hi, long time lurker here, first time poster.. I have followed your story for some time now and I just wanted to say congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. He is gorgeous!

  6. So happy for you all. Been reading since the beginning and this is such a wonderful blessing. Can’t wait to hear all about your new little man. God is so good! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Oh, I just love the blonde hair. He’s so stinking cute! And naming him after another hero…priceless.
Hope everyone settles into the new routine quickly. Congratulations.

  8. Love that beautiful baby!!! Kisses to the Graves family.

I hear ya about being tired. You went right through the night with labor, didn’t you?

About putting the wrong name on the blog earlier–bigger faux pas have been made… I’ve seen lots of “strangely” spelled names along the way, and I usually figure it’s what was put on the birth certificate during those delirious hours after giving birth. (Just check to make sure you spelled everything correctly on the BC–hee).

  9. He is beautiful! Congratulations!
I’ve been reading and praying for some time now, but never posted. This time, I just had to =0)

  10. Love looking at these pics of your little Ryan. As soon as I saw the name, I couldn’t help but wonder. What a very special thing to be able to do! So special! I am so happy for you guys!

  11. I have been reading your blog since last winter. I am so happy for you, Jason and Emily. Your little Ryan is gorgeous. We were so touched when we read what you named him. I lived in Watertown for many years and know Jason’s family. Jason and Chad took our dock out of the water and put it back in the water for many years. My daughter Jeni was good friends with them. Your faith is an unbelievable inspiration for all of us who follow your blog. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Congratulations!!! He’s beautiful. I teared up at the time he was born noticing it was during the late afternoon/evening and picturing Em just outside waiting to be the third to hold him. So, so great.

Praise to Him – the Author and Creator of Sweet Ryan.

  17. I love that you guys named your son after your friend Ryan. What a great man for your son to look up to, and to model to be like.
